you went missing in july
and I set out to find you, so
i traveled through farmlands
and burnt forests, scoured by
the wildfires of may
and i lost the scent in april
but found you again in autumn
the summer’s heat a memory
about to fade, face to face
with you in september
in a mirror i couldn’t help
but break, though i followed your trail
to november, nimbly skipping
through october’s leaves (i left)
and it forked in december,
west or east, i can’t remember
the words you used to use
to paint a picture of the place
you’d be, when our promises came to be
and our brief memories were all awash
in a brilliant sea of lights and colors -
fleeting gold and flowing green -
the fireworks of july
where i lost you on a beach
you went missing and,
i nearly lost myself.
Another excellent post today thanks. I really enjoyed reading it very much. You have a great blog here.

This was beautiful. I too once loved a girl who vanished. I chased rumors across the city for months until I lost the will to search, and then she returned. Thank you for writing this.
my pleasure
